MAP (member assistance program)
Looking for a counselor or social worker, call St. John’s at 314-729-4650 or 1-800-413-8008. This is a free program provided for you and your family. The MAP offers support, guidance and encouragement. MAP counselors are trained to deal with a broad range of problems: Stress; Family Issues; Marital problems; Addictions; Emotional problems (anxiety, depression); Aging relatives; parenting; coping withillness; work issues; grief; anger; coping with financial problems. Attention!!
March 13, 2007, The Board of Trustees rescinded the 10 year rule for eligibility for Retirees Health Coverage. “You and your spouse will be eligible for Retiree Medical Benefits when you retire directly from covered employment if you meet all of the following requirements:” 1. You are at least 50 years of age.
2. You are not eligible for Medicare.
3. You have been, for at least five consecutive years
immediately preceding retirement, an active
participant in this Plan provided that during such
five consecutive years contributions for Retiree
Hospitalization have been made on your behalf by
your employer.
